

Vietnam Small Animal Veterinary Association (VSAVA) is a professional organization under the Vietnam Veterinary Association (VVA), dedicated to the development and healthcare of small animals and companion pets nationwide. VSAVA brings together veterinarians, technicians, and industry experts to exchange knowledge, share experience, and strengthen professional capacity through scientific seminars, training programs, and collaborative activities.
In addition, VSAVA continuously promotes the adoption of advanced scientific and technical practices, expands partnerships with domestic and international organizations, and strives to build a dynamic, professional, and compassionate veterinary community committed to improving animal health and welfare in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Small Animal Veterinary Experts Conference (VSAVEC) is held annually with a powerful message: “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.” This message not only inspires a spirit of continuous learning but also fosters a positive atmosphere of collaboration and sharing among participating veterinarians.
The event gathers passionate veterinarians from across the country, providing them with the opportunity to discuss and exchange knowledge about real-case scenarios, as well as to update on the latest breakthroughs and advancements in small animal healthcare. VSAVEC believe that building close connections and providing ongoing value are key to sustainable success. Therefore, the goal of the conference is to create a strong and effective community that promotes growth and collaboration within the veterinary field.

PhD. Nguyen Ba Tiep is a distinguished veterinarian with a Doctorate recognized by the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine from Vietnam’s Agriculture University, a Master’s degree from Seoul National University, South Korea, and completed research at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Goettingen, Germany.
From 2012 to 2021, he served as a department head, teaching undergraduate courses such as Veterinary Latin Terminology, Animal Anatomy, Wildlife Diseases, and Veterinary Acupuncture. His practical expertise includes surgical anatomy, ultrasound diagnostics, neurological diseases, and small animal acupuncture.
PhD. Tiep’s research focuses on endocrine disruptors in humans and animals, as well as exotic animal diseases. He has led research projects, supervised 40 master’s students, published 70 scientific papers, and received four awards for scientific research and presentations.

PhD. Tran Thi Thao is a treatment staff member at the Veterinary Clinic of Can Tho University, with many years of experience in diagnosing and treating animal diseases. PhD. Thao has led and participated in several important research projects in veterinary medicine, particularly focusing on diseases related to the urinary system, liver, and diabetes in dogs. Notable studies include the diagnosis and treatment of urinary system diseases in dogs (2007-2008), Canine Parvovirus (2009), liver disease treatment protocols (2012), and diabetes in dogs (2015-2016).
PhD. Thao is also the author and co-author of several scientific papers, including studies on the prevalence of parvovirus in dogs under 6 months old in Can Tho City, treatment protocols for canine hepatitis, and the epidemiological characteristics of urinary system diseases in dogs in Can Tho. She has also conducted research on diabetes in dogs in Dong Thap and Vinh Long.
With solid expertise and practical experience, PhD. Tran Thi Thao is a key expert contributing significantly to research and treatment for pets, particularly in developing scientific treatment protocols for common dog diseases.

Mai Ngoc Tuyen, DVM is a leading expert in veterinary field, with over 10 years of experience. He has trained more than 13,000 learners nationwide and founded several major veterinary chains, including Funpet, SAOvet, and Fullpet.
Tuyen, DVM is a pioneer in areas such as endoscopic surgery, cataract surgery, neurological surgery, and artificial joint replacement.
Currently, he is collaborating with several surgical specialists from the Central Hospital to research and apply new techniques to advance the small animal veterinary field.
In addition to his veterinary expertise, he is pursuing an Executive MBA at the National Economics University (NEU) and graduated from the Pedagogical Training program at Hanoi National University of Education in 2021.

Chawapa Wattanaprateep, DVM is a veterinary specialist in diagnostic imaging and ultrasonography at Thonglor Veterinary Hospital, Thủ Đức branch, in Ho Chi Minh City. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M) from Chulalongkorn University in 2006 and obtained a Master’s degree in Marketing (M.M) from Mahidol University in 2012. With over 17 years of experience, Wattanaprateep, DVM has completed and earned certifications in several specialized courses, including Ultrasonography Diagnosis in Small Animals at Chulalongkorn University, Basic Clinical Diagnosis by Computed Tomographic Imaging in Dogs and Cats at Chulalongkorn University, and Thoracic and Abdominal Imaging at the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS).

Dr. Mark is an expert in feline diseases, internal medicine, and cardiology. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017 from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Chung Hsing National University, Taiwan.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mark has gained valuable experience working at a specialized cardiology hospital in Taiwan and as a veterinary technician for Bayer, Germany. A strong advocate of evidence-based veterinary medicine and certified as “Cat Friendly” by the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), Dr. Mark has built a reputation as a trusted companion to beloved family pets.
Currently, Dr. Mark is the co-founder and Chief Veterinarian of Forest International Veterinary Hospital, where he continues to contribute to the advancement of veterinary medicine and share his knowledge through seminars and training programs.

Coc, DVM is a Clinical Veterinary Medicine expert with over 10 years of experience in management and providing professional consultation for veterinary hospitals across Vietnam. Graduating with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City, in 2013, he has held management roles at veterinary hospitals in Binh Duong and Dong Nai.
In 2023, he pursued a postgraduate program in Veterinary Medicine at Nong Lam University, Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, he serves as a professional consultant, speaker, and director of the Veterinary Practitioner Training Center.
With his extensive experience, he has been a speaker at more than six specialized conferences domestically and internationally, provided consultation for nearly 70 veterinary hospitals and clinics nationwide, and organized over 100 short-term training courses, making significant contributions to the development of Vietnam’s veterinary workforce.

Lam Kim Hai, DVM graduated from the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Ho Chi Minh City, in 2015, and has over 9 years of experience in the field of veterinary dental care. From 2015 to 2021, Hai , DVM specialized in treating wildlife, particularly focusing on dental issues in species such as civets, monkeys, and bears. Since 2021, Hai, DVM has shifted towards providing oral health care for small animals, including dogs and cats. Lam Kim Hai, DVM is currently the CEO of the Pet5H Veterinary System, a member of Fivevet. Their pet-focused brand, Fivevet For Pet, is featured in this year’s InterPet Expo Việt Nam.
Lam Kim Hai, DVM possesses exceptional skills in evaluating dental conditions and interpreting dental X-rays for small animals. He is proficient in performing a wide range of dental procedures, including tartar removal, treatment of gingival recession and gum disease, root canal therapy, tooth extractions (especially canines), as well as fillings and metal crown placements.
With a deep passion for spreading love for animals and a high sense of responsibility in his work, Lam Kim Hai, DVM is always eager to share his knowledge and experience with the veterinary community, with the goal of improving the quality of oral health care for pets.
